WHAT IS ORAL REHABILITATION?
Have you ever heard of oral rehabilitation?
This is an area that involves a set of complex treatments of excellence that exist in dentistry, being therefore a multidisciplinary process.
Oral rehabilitation aims to restore the entire dental, gingival and bone anatomy, so that chewing, swallowing, speaking, smiling and the design of the dental arches are in harmony with the rest of facial structures, thus involving hard and soft tissues.
This allows us to restore the colour, shape and function of existing teeth, or replace those that may be missing, whether by placing a removable or fixed prosthesis or by using a mixed solution.
Almost all areas of dentistry can be involved in oral rehabilitation, including facial harmonization.
The most positive point of oral rehabilitation is that the treatment resolves several conditions and is carried out with single planning.
Therefore, it guarantees greater integration of the steps, which means a much more effective result. Radiographs, restorations, endodontic treatments, treatments in the area of periodontology (gums), orthodontic treatments, facial harmonisation, implants and even more specific surgeries may be indicated to promote not only a better aesthetics but above all function and full oral health.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ORAL REHABILITATION?
More than the self-esteem of the patient, oral rehabilitation primarily deals with their quality of life.
IT RESTORES ORAL HEALTH – using biocompatible ceramic pieces we restore dental, gingival and bone health.
IT RESTORES THE AESTHETICS – it allows us to correct simple or complex dental defects, restoring the colour, shape and position of the teeth to obtain a harmonious and functional smile.
IT RESTORES FUNCTION – it corrects functional problems and masticatory forces imbalance, minimizes overload and occlusal trauma in order to avoid future muscle pain and temporomandibular joint pain.
Oral rehabilitation using biocompatible ceramic pieces allows the restoration of dental anatomy and enhances dental and gingival health.
Oral Rehabilitation aims to restore the patient's physical and emotional well-being.
An aesthetic and functional replacement contributes to improve the patient’s image, self-esteem and quality of life and to maintain the balance of oral health and prevent other structures from being affected.
The main objective of rehabilitation is to provide well-being and full oral health.
Oral rehabilitation is indicated for patients who present with one or more of the following problems:
-Large edentulous areas
-Decayed, fractured, abraded, unerupted or loose teeth;
-Root fragments;
-Complete absence of teeth;
-Inadequate, maladapted or infiltrated restorations;
-Inflamed gums;
-Bruxism or clenching;
-Malocclusion;

Oral Rehabilitation aims to restore the patient's physical and emotional well-being. An aesthetic and functional replacement contributes to improve the patient’s image, self-esteem and quality of life and to maintain the balance of oral health and prevent other structures from being affected.
